Streetwear 01 Black Divine Nail Enamel - Review, Swatches

What it claims: Gives a dazzling shine to your nails. Shake gently apply 2 coats.

Cost: Errr... I forgot, coz I ripped off the tag the moment I reached home to apply it & I have had this with me for 3 months now. I think it was some 70 odd Rs. for 9 ml bottle.

Lavender Essential Oil - Uses

Other than Makeup, I also tend to dabble a lot in Aromatherapy. I have been doing this for a year or so, and it has now become a way of life for me. From treating cuts on the skin to bruises inflicted by day to day living on the soul, aromatherapy goes a long way.

I thought I would share the little I know with you guys, in case anyone among you is also interested in this aromatic world :-)
Let's start with Lavender - my first essential oil. I purchased this from Aroma Magic. (15 ml bottle cost Rs. 100 & can be used for 3 years from date of purchase)

NOTD: Revlon Emerald City topped with Maybelline Glitter Prata

This should actually read NOTW, since I am lazy when it comes to nail paints & I tend to leave them on for a week generally.

The green base here is Revlon Emerald City - one of the rare green nail paints I like. Most green nail paints don't look very nice on me. This one I think looks ok.

Reliance is bringing Sephora to India!!

Image via Wikipedia Once in a while, I do turn to the business section as well of TOI. Ideally I should be reading Economic Times everyday, but I generally get way laid by the Bollywoodgossip section of Mumbai Mirror.

Last night I castigated myself for being so uninformed about, well, everything related to the business world & thought if not ET, I should at least read some TOI.

And what do you think caught my eye first:

MAC Lip Prep + Prime - Review

I recently shifted my home, and in that crazed meddle have misplaced my very tiny stack (read: 5 products) from MAC & MUFE. The irony is that I had wrapped them separately from the rest of my stash so that I could carry them with me. But in the crazed packing frenzy, my hubby threw the pack into some bag, & I can’t find them now. But the rest of my makeup that I didn’t give a damn about has all reached safe & sound. I know they are somewhere in the house, my only hope is that I find them in the next few days. What it claims:A color-free base to wear under lipstick. Adds light moisture, smoothes and refines the lips. Improves the appearance of applied lip products.

CTM – My experience

CTM – the buzz word invented by Clinique has had a lot of girls enthralled. They go through the routine religiously. Over the years, my experience with this routine has taught me that this ought to be written a little differently. It ought to be C(m)EM. Let me explain why.

No Questions at Inglot, Versova :(

Image via Wikipedia A few days ago, Inglot was running a 35% off discount. Having heard a lot about their eye shadows, I decided to pick a few for myself & avail of the 20% they had running on them.  As some of you may know Inglot has a freedom palette system. Here one can pick & choose eye shadows to create your own palette. One has to pay for the palette, of course. Now the deal is that the eye shadows both in round form & square form cost the same (Rs. 300) , but the square one has a much larger quantity. The round pan has around 1.8 gms & the square one has 2.7 gms. But the square empty palette costs almost double that of the round empty palette.

Treatment for Molluscum Contagiosum :)

Image via Wikipedia After a lot of trial & error, I am happy to share that most of my boils due to Molluscum Contagiosum have (almost) gone. I thought I would share the treatment I used, here on the blog, as it might help someone. 1.Go to a dermatologist. One of the easiest way of treating these is manual extraction of the viral cores / boils. Sounds scary? I too was scared, & I’ll be honest – it does hurt a bit & the boils tend to bleed. If like me you have them on your face – then it might be a sad sight for about 2 days. Post that the boils heal – and don’t leave any scars what so ever. Do this on a day off, so that you don’t have to step out of the house for the rest of the day.

Jordana Nail Paint - Fuchsia Frenzy (950)

A long time ago, Shweta had asked me for swatches of this. As I got busy with work, I took the pics & forgot about them.. I hope it is not too late :)

Jordana nail paint in Fuchsia Frenzy is a wonderful summery pink shade, this one is a glossy shade with no shimmer. The color is a bright pink. This particular shade however is a little on the sheer side - so you'll need 3 coats for the color to show up properly. It appears much darker in the bottle than it does when applied.

I'm not really into nail art - but I imgine this would look wonderful paired with some black / white motifs like bows.

There is a trend these days to match your lipstick with your nail paint - this shade is perfect to co-ordinate all your creamy fuchsia lipsticks with,

Have you tried this one? Which is your favourite fuchsia nail paint?

How to Prevent Skin Creams from Balling Up

Tell me, you have faced it too. I'm not the only one who faces issues with skin creams balling up, am I?

A few months ago I bought Fab India Vit E gel for oily skin. It is such a cult product with people raving about it. I thought this would be perfect for my newly oily skin. It smelt great. It was uber light. But it balled up. Every. Single. Time.

It would ball up on my face & end up removing my sunscreen too. I initally gave up on it. It seemed my skin was repelling it like plastic. After months of R&D I figured out what may have been the problem.

How to wear Red / Pink Eye liner

Like with Orange, Red eyeliners are a little difficult to find. Substitute with your favourite lip liner or eye shadow.
For Pink eyeliners try Lakme & Maybelline.
Red/pink eye shadows or eyeliners needs to be opaque—sheer red/pink makes it look like you have pinkeye.
Dab the color on the outer half of the upper eyelid only,
